Accounting Manager

UCC Holding is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead financial accounting and reporting for its Saudi operations, supporting large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. The role requires a senior finance professional with proven experience in a Tier-1 contractor, EPC, or major construction organization, combining strong technical accounting expertise with a comprehensive understanding of project financials, commercial operations, cash flow, and financial controls. Key Responsibilities: - Lead financial accounting, monthly closing, management reporting, and statutory financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and Group policies. - Oversee project accounting, including WIP, accruals, provisions, commitments, cost allocation, project profitability, and cost-to-complete. - Ensure appropriate IFRS 15 revenue recognition for construction contracts, including variations, claims, change orders, contract assets/liabilities, and unbilled revenue. - Partner closely with Commercial, Contracts, Project Controls, Procurement, and Project Management teams to ensure accurate project financial reporting and forecasting. - Oversee subcontractor and supplier accounting, including advances, retentions, accruals, certifications, payments, and reconciliations. - Drive accounts receivable, collections, working capital, and project cash-flow management, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement. - Ensure compliance with ZATCA, VAT, Zakat/tax, GOSI, and other applicable Saudi statutory requirements. - Manage internal and external audits, ensuring robust reconciliations, documentation, controls, and timely closure of audit observations. - Maintain strong financial governance and internal controls across project and corporate operations. - Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data through SAP ERP, including effective utilization of relevant SAP finance and project-accounting processes. - Support continuous improvement, automation, and standardization of accounting and reporting processes within SAP. - Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting team, fostering a high-performance and accountable culture. - Provide senior management with timely insights on project financial performance, margins, cash flow, risks, and emerging financial issues. Candidate Profile: - 15+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with significant experience in construction, EPC, infrastructure, or other project-based businesses. - Proven experience with a Tier-1 contractor or major EPC organization; Saudi/GCC experience strongly preferred. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. - ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA, ACA or equivalent professional qualification preferred. - Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 15 and construction contract accounting. - Strong understanding of project cost accounting, WIP, EAC/forecasting, subcontractor accounting, revenue recognition, and working capital. - Strong knowledge of Saudi VAT/ZATCA requirements. - Advanced SAP experience with strong understanding of financial accounting, project accounting, cost controlling, and management reporting. - Excellent stakeholder-management, analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
