Assistant Buyer - Oil & Gas

Convert Purchase Requisitions into Purchase Orders in line with procedures and standards. Develop and apply effective sourcing strategies for Oil & Gas operations. Review user requirements, technical specifications, quantities, lead times and estimated values. Review technical and commercial evaluations and prepare award recommendations. Prepare Purchase Orders, change orders and variation orders. Support SLA and KPI requirements, including bonds, guarantees and progress payments. Coordinate expediting activities for emergency, critical and high-value deliveries. Conduct pre-qualification and technical proposal exercises. Monitor vendor performance and market trends affecting cost and delivery. Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers. Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering - Minimum 6 years' experience in purchasing equipment and materials - Oil & Gas procurement experience is preferred - Ability to read drawings and technical documents - Good understanding of material specifications - Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel - SAP knowledge is preferred - Strong written and spoken English
