Assistant Warehouse Manager

Oversee day-to-day warehouse and distribution operations across multiple locations, ensuring smooth and efficient material and product flow. Plan and coordinate inbound, storage, picking, dispatch, and outbound activities in line with production and sales requirements. Ensure high levels of inventory accuracy through effective stock control, cycle counts, physical inventory checks, and reconciliation. Monitor warehouse capacity, stock levels, space utilization, and material movement to optimize operational efficiency. Lead and supervise warehouse supervisors, storekeepers, forklift operators, and support teams, ensuring productivity and adherence to operational standards. Monitor key warehouse KPIs including inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, productivity, space utilization, dispatch efficiency, and stock variance. Identify operational gaps and implement process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and corrective actions. Ensure compliance with SOPs, food safety, health & safety, quality, environmental, and company standards. Maintain accurate warehouse records, inventory reports, operational documentation, and performance dashboards. Coordinate closely with Supply Chain, Production, Sales, Procurement, and Logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted operations. Support warehouse expansion, layout optimization, system implementation, and other warehouse transformation and improvement projects. Utilize SAP WM/EWM or relevant ERP systems for inventory management, transactions, reporting, and operational control. Identify operational risks and ensure appropriate controls are implemented to maintain business continuity and service levels.
