Chief Financial Officer – Dubai Confidential International Telecom & Digital Services Group Location: Dubai, UAE Reporting to: Group CEO / Chairman The Opportunity A leading international telecommunications and digital services group, with a large multi-country customer base and operations across multiple international markets, is establishing a significant strategic presence in Dubai. The organisation is seeking an experienced, commercially driven Chief Financial Officer to lead its finance function and play a key role in shaping its next phase of international growth and transformation. This is not a traditional reporting-focused CFO role. The successful candidate will combine strategic finance leadership with commercial decision-making, treasury, international tax, transformation and organisational change. Key Responsibilities - Lead the finance function and develop a scalable Dubai-based international finance operating model. - Partner with the CEO, Chairman and senior leadership on strategy, growth, profitability and capital allocation. - Drive commercial finance, including pricing, customer economics, ARPU, churn, acquisition costs, product/channel profitability and market-level performance. - Own budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, financial planning and performance management. - Lead treasury, liquidity, cash-flow and working-capital optimisation across multiple countries and currencies. - Oversee international tax, VAT, transfer pricing and intercompany structures in conjunction with external advisers. - Strengthen financial controls, governance, risk management and statutory reporting. - Lead finance transformation, automation, ERP and management-information initiatives. - Support M&A, restructuring, corporate reorganisations, investments and strategic partnerships. - Build and lead a high-calibre finance team in Dubai while working closely with international finance teams. - Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax advisers, regulators and other key stakeholders. Ideal Candidate We are looking for an entrepreneurial CFO with approximately 18–25 years of total finance experience, including meaningful experience as a CFO, Regional CFO, Finance Director or equivalent senior finance leader. Preferred background - International telecom / MVNO / technology / digital / subscription business experience. - Strong UAE/GCC exposure, preferably with experience operating from Dubai. - Experience managing multi-country, multi-currency businesses. - Proven commercial finance and business-partnering capability. - Strong treasury, cash management and working-capital experience. - Exposure to international tax and transfer pricing. - Experience in business transformation, restructuring, M&A or corporate development. - Strong IFRS and financial-control knowledge. - Experience with SAP or other large-scale ERP environments is desirable. - Qualified CA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent.
