Engineer - Material Development & Procurement Planning

We are looking for a motivated Material Development Engineer to join our team and support R&D and plant operations in developing new material alternatives and identifying qualified suppliers. Key Responsibilities: • Work closely with R&D teams to identify and recommend new materials and vendors through continuous improvement initiatives. • Identify, evaluate, and eliminate non-value-added costs. • Research and develop alternative materials and suppliers. • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. • Identify, research, and evaluate potential suppliers based on capabilities and qualifications. • Track and manage the material samples process. • Monitor market trends, including new products, technologies, and suppliers, to support sourcing decisions. • Identify opportunities for process improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Qualifications & Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field. • 2–3 years of experience in Material Engineering, Industrial Operations, or a similar industry is preferred. • High proficiency in English is required. • Basic ability to communicate in Arabic and English. • Proficiency in MS Office is required. • Knowledge of SAP Ariba is preferred. • Strong analytical, communication, supplier evaluation, and problem-solving skills.
