Financial Accountant in Fashion

Fashion Accountant Location: Dubai, UAE Company: The Kape About The Kape The Kape is a luxury Emirati fashion house renowned for its contemporary approach to the abaya. With a strong focus on craftsmanship, quality, and innovation, we are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Fashion Accountant to oversee the financial operations of the brand. Key Responsibilities: - Manage all day-to-day accounting and financial transactions. - Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and cash flow forecasts. - Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. - Monitor budgets, operating expenses, and overall financial performance. - Work closely with production, merchandising, and retail teams to monitor inventory, production costs, and cost of goods sold (COGS). - Track supplier payments, purchase orders, and production-related expenses. - Reconcile inventory movements across production, warehouse, and retail. - Process payroll and employee reimbursements. - Prepare VAT filings and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations. - Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes and liaise with external auditors. - Support budgeting, financial planning, and profitability analysis by collection and product category. - Maintain accurate accounting records and continuously improve financial processes and internal controls. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the fashion, luxury, retail, or manufacturing industry. - Strong understanding of inventory accounting, production costing, and retail operations. - Experience with accounting software or ERP systems (such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Oracle NetSuite, Odoo, SAP, or similar). - Excellent Excel and financial reporting skills. - Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting standards. - Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail. - Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments. - Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
