Financial Controller

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join the finance team supporting a massive international sports event in Saudi Arabia. This is a contract-based opportunity for a finance professional with strong financial control, reporting, budgeting, and compliance experience. Oversee day-to-day financial control activities for the project. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and project financial reports. Monitor budgets, forecasts, actual expenditure, and financial commitments. Analyse budget variances and provide clear explanations and recommendations. Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of financial transactions. Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, and general ledger activities. Review invoices, payment requests, purchase orders, and supporting documentation. Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures. Support project budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Coordinate with procurement, operations, commercial, and other project teams on financial matters. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial controls. Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar. 5+ years of relevant experience in financial control, accounting, finance management, or a similar role.
