Inventory Control / Logistics Officer (Dental Industry)

Job Title: Inventory Control / Logistics Officer Industry: Manufacturing (Dental / Medical Devices preferred) Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (Industrial Facility) Education: Diploma or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field Job Purpose Manage the inventory, warehouse operations, inbound and outbound logistics and stock accuracy of a manufacturing facility. Make sure raw materials, spare parts, consumables and finished goods are properly received, stored, tracked, issued and dispatched, so production runs without interruption and customers get their orders on time. Required Skills and Experience - Experience in inventory control, warehouse or logistics operations in a manufacturing environment - Strong knowledge of inventory control, stock auditing and reconciliation - Experience in logistics, shipping and import coordination - Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel - Good organization and record-keeping, with strong attention to detail - Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure - Good communication and coordination skills Preferred - Background in dental, medical device or other regulated manufacturing - Experience setting up a warehouse from scratch (highly desirable) - Experience with imports and local distribution - Hands-on experience with Odoo ERP - Knowledge of warehouse safety and compliance standards Key Responsibilities Inventory management - Manage daily inventory of raw materials, spare parts, consumables and finished goods. - Maintain accurate stock records in the ERP or manual systems. - Monitor stock levels and raise replenishment requests. - Track fast-moving, slow-moving and critical items. Warehouse operations - Ensure proper storage, labelling and organization of materials. - Carry out cycle counts and physical inventory checks. - Investigate discrepancies, damages and losses. - Maintain warehouse standards for safety and compliance. Logistics and coordination - Receive, inspect and record incoming materials. - Coordinate import shipments and documentation. - Work with freight forwarders and clearing agents. - Arrange and oversee local dispatch of finished goods. Cross-functional coordination - Work with Procurement, Production, Maintenance, Quality and Finance to keep materials available and operations running. Reporting and cost control - Prepare inventory and logistics performance reports. - Reduce excess stock, shortages and unnecessary costs. Warehouse setup - Design and build the warehouse layout, including racking, bins and flow paths. - Set up storage and tracking systems, with location coding and labelling. - Define processes for receiving, storing, issuing and shipping, and create warehouse maps and inventory procedures. - Support the selection of equipment and racking systems. - Make sure the setup is safe, efficient and scalable.
