Payroll Accountant - UAE National

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll accounting. Strong knowledge of payroll accounting practices, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes. Working knowledge of applicable labor laws and regulatory compliance requirements. Proficiency in payroll systems and ERP platforms (Oracle). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Key Responsibilities: Administer end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all payroll transactions. Prepare, review, and post payroll-related journal entries to the general ledger in accordance with accounting standards. Perform monthly payroll reconciliations and investigate and resolve any discrepancies. Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, tax regulations, and Regulatory requirements. Calculate and process employee benefits, including allowances, leave encashments, and end-of-service settlements. Prepare and submit reports within prescribed deadlines. Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, ensuring proper documentation and audit readiness. Support internal and external audit processes by providing required payroll documentation and explanations. Collaborate with HC to ensure accuracy of employee data and alignment with compensation structures. Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and system efficiencies.
