Procurement Manager – Construction Materials & Subcontracts Location: Muscat, Oman Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Building Construction / Contracting Compensation: Up to OMR 1,000/month + Accommodation, Annual Leave, Air Ticket, Medical & Gratuity Benefits. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end procurement for ongoing and upcoming building construction projects. Review BOQs, material specifications, approved makes, and procurement schedules. Source construction materials, equipment, and subcontract packages from approved and new vendors. Conduct RFQs, techno-commercial evaluations, comparative statements, and supplier negotiations. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and framework agreements. Develop and maintain a strong supplier and subcontractor network across Oman and the GCC. Coordinate with Engineering, QS, Planning, MEP, Stores, and Finance teams. Identify alternative suppliers, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives. Manage long-lead procurement items and ensure timely project delivery. Prepare procurement reports, savings reports, and vendor performance evaluations. Materials You'll Handle Cement, Ready Mix & Concrete Reinforcement & Structural Steel Blocks & Masonry Materials Waterproofing & Insulation Tiles, Marble & Granite Plumbing & Drainage Materials Electrical Cables, Switchgear & Accessories HVAC Equipment Fire Fighting & Fire Alarm Materials Aluminium, Glass & Façade Materials Joinery, Doors & Architectural Hardware False Ceilings, Partitions & Paints Construction Chemicals & Consumables Scaffolding, Formwork & Equipment Candidate Requirements Bachelor's Degree (Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Materials Management, or related field preferred). 15+ years of overall procurement experience. 7–10+ years of procurement experience in Oman/UAE/GCC. Strong experience with building construction contractors. Excellent knowledge of Oman construction material suppliers and market pricing. Proven experience in vendor development, subcontract procurement, and commercial negotiations. Hands-on experience with BOQs, RFQs, purchase orders, and procurement planning. Exposure to international sourcing (UAE, China, India) will be an advantage. ERP/SAP proficiency and strong MS Excel skills.
