Project Cost Controller

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Cost Controller to oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance of construction projects. You will play a key role in supporting the project team with cost tracking, variance analysis, and reporting, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and financial goals are met. Key Responsibilities: Budgeting & Cost Control: Develop, manage, and monitor project budgets in coordination with project managers and estimators. Track actual project costs against budgeted costs. Identify and analyze cost variances; provide early warnings and recommendations. Forecasting & Reporting: Prepare and maintain cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and earned value analysis (EVA). Generate periodic cost reports for internal stakeholders and clients. Forecast final project cost (Estimate at Completion - EAC). Procurement & Invoicing: Verify and track costs from subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants. Support invoice processing and reconciliation with procurement and finance teams. Evaluate and track change orders and their budget impact. Tools & Systems: Use software such as Excel, Primavera P6, SAP, Oracle, or Procore for cost management. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation for audits and reviews. Coordination & Support: Liaise with project managers, engineers, finance teams, and site personnel. Assist in contract administration, risk assessment, and financial audits. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong understanding of construction processes, project lifecycle, and financial principles. Proficient in MS Excel and cost control software (Primavera, SAP, Oracle, etc.). Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Preferred: Certification in Cost Control (e.g., CCP by AACE) is a plus. Experience with large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects.
