Store Officer

We have been mandated by a large conglomerate into steel business Position: Store Officer Qualification: Diploma with a course/certification in Materials Management / Stores Management Experience: 4- 10 years Purpose of the Role To effectively manage day-to-day Stores and Warehouse operations in an integrated steel plant by ensuring the timely receipt, inspection, identification, storage, preservation, and issue of spares, consumables, and maintenance materials . The role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and material documentation, ensuring optimum stock availability for Production, Maintenance, Utilities, and Projects , and controlling inventory through systematic monitoring, physical verification, and reconciliation. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day stores and warehouse activities in an integrated steel plant. Handle receipt, inspection, storage and issue of spares, consumables and maintenance materials . Maintain stock records, bin locations, material identification and documentation. Ensure timely material availability for Production, Maintenance, Utilities and Projects . Prepare/handle GRN, Material Issue, Material Return and Stock Transfer transactions. Monitor stock levels, shortages, slow-moving and non-moving materials. Conduct physical stock verification and reconcile inventory discrepancies. Coordinate with Procurement, Maintenance, Production and other departments. Ensure proper preservation, storage and housekeeping of materials. Work with SAP MM / ERP for stores and inventory transactions.
