Team Lead, Warehouse (RM)

Leads the general materials warehouse at the mill, managing the receipt, storage, and issue of spare parts, consumables, lubricants, chemicals, and PPE. The role ensures the right materials are available when the plant needs them, inventory is accurate in SAP, and the warehouse meets the food safety, hygiene, and HSE standards required in a flour milling environment. Key Accountabilities: Warehouse Operations - Lead day-to-day warehouse operations for general materials, spare parts, and consumables supporting production and maintenance. - Oversee receiving, inspection, storage, and issuing of materials against approved requests, applying FIFO/FEFO where relevant. - Optimize warehouse layout, bin locations, and space utilization to improve accessibility and material flow. Inventory Control & Systems - Ensure all material movements are recorded accurately and on time in SAP (MM/WM). - Plan and lead periodic cycle counts and annual stock-takes, investigating and resolving variances. - Monitor stock levels, set and review min/max parameters, and flag slow-moving, obsolete, and critical items. Planning & Coordination - Work closely with Procurement, Maintenance, and Production to anticipate material requirements and prevent stock-outs of critical spares. - Follow up on open purchase orders and delivery timelines with Procurement and suppliers. Compliance & Safety - Ensure warehouse practices comply with food safety (HACCP, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000), GMP, pest control, and HSE requirements. - Enforce safe storage and handling of chemicals, hazardous materials, and heavy items. - Support internal and external audits and close out related findings. People & Performance - Lead, schedule, and develop warehouse staff, including training on material handling, safety, and SAP transactions. - Prepare regular reports on inventory accuracy, stock value, utilization, and warehouse KPIs. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives in materials management and warehouse efficiency. What We're Looking For: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. - 3 years of warehouse or inventory management experience in manufacturing, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role; experience in flour milling, food, or FMCG is highly preferred. - Hands-on proficiency in SAP (MM/WM modules). - Solid knowledge of spare parts, MRO, and consumables management. - Working knowledge of food safety and HSE standards in a manufacturing environment. - Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. - Professional certifications (e.g., CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent) are an advantage.
