Vice President, Taxation (UAE Corporate Tax)

We're hiring a Vice President of Taxation for a reputed offshoring and consulting firm in the UAE. You'll lead its UAE Corporate Tax function end to end, from compliance and advisory through to building the team. What you will do: Lead UAE Corporate Tax compliance, including preparing, reviewing and filing Corporate Tax returns with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA). Give day-to-day tax advice on business transactions and operational matters. Prepare and review monthly and quarterly tax computations under UAE Corporate Tax law. Compute and review current and deferred tax, including tax provisions and disclosures under IFRS. Analyse financial statements to find tax risks, exposures and opportunities. Track changes in UAE Corporate Tax law, FTA guidance and Ministerial Decisions, and assess how they affect the business. Advise on Free Zone, transfer pricing and international tax matters, including Pillar Two considerations. Handle FTA queries, tax audits, reconsiderations and dispute matters. Lead, mentor and grow a large tax team, covering review, delegation, performance management and skill development. Work with finance, accounting and business leadership to build tax into reporting, budgeting and planning. Improve processes to make tax reporting and compliance faster and more accurate. What we are looking for: Chartered Accountant with 8+ years of relevant experience. Strong hands-on experience in Corporate Tax, tax litigation and tax advisory. Practical exposure to UAE Corporate Tax and the FTA framework. A track record of leading and reviewing work for large tax teams. Background with a Big Four firm, a leading audit firm or a leading tax advisory firm preferred. Experience with SAP, Oracle, Hyperion or similar systems is a plus. Based in the UAE or willing to relocate.
