Accountant

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of the business, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, banking, reconciliations, month-end closing, expense management, audit support and compliance-related activities. Key Responsibilities - Manage day-to-day accounting activities and maintain complete, accurate and timely financial records. - Manage the Accounts Payable function, including supplier invoice processing, payment preparation, and reconciliations. - Manage and support the Accounts Receivable function, customer statements, and receipt allocation. - Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions. - Manage and coordinate month-end closing activities, journals, and financial reporting. - Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts. - Perform intercompany balance reporting and reconciliations. - Support SOX controls, self-assessments and audit readiness. - Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and local tax compliance. Qualifications & Experience - University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. - Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent). - 5-10 years experience in a similar Accounting/Finance role, preferably within a multinational company. - Strong knowledge of accounting principles, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger. - Practical experience with month-end closing, VAT compliance, and audit support. - Experience with internal controls and SOX compliance is strongly preferred. - Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle).
