Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to manage the company's day-to-day accounting and financial activities. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, handling accounts payable and receivable, bank and supplier reconciliations, VAT-related activities, inventory accounting, and supporting management with financial reports and analysis. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of accounting principles, UAE VAT requirements, and accounting software, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities 1. General Accounting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, record daily financial transactions, maintain general ledger, and assist with month-end and year-end closing. 2. Accounts Receivable: Prepare customer invoices, monitor outstanding balances, follow up on payments, and reconcile accounts. 3. Accounts Payable: Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders, maintain supplier ledgers, and handle payment schedules. 4. Bank & Cash Management: Perform bank and petty cash reconciliations. 5. VAT & UAE Compliance: Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and assist with VAT returns. 6. Inventory & Cost Accounting: Maintain inventory records, reconcile physical stock, and coordinate with warehouse teams. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field. - Minimum 2-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a UAE trading or industrial company. - Experience with accounting software such as Tally, ERP, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar systems. - Strong knowledge of MS Excel.
