Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Accounting Manager to serve as the foundational architect of our Finance Department. In this role, you won't just manage existing sheets—you will design the financial architecture, evaluate and implement our ERP/accounting system from scratch, build internal controls for project-based event accounting, and recruit your own team. Key Responsibilities - Evaluate, select, and deploy a scalable ERP/accounting software tailored to event management and multi-vendor operations. - Map and execute financial workflows, chart of accounts, and approval matrices from scratch. - Define the organizational structure of the Finance & Accounting department - Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor accounting staff (e-g., Cost Accountants, AP/AR Specialists) as the company expands. - Design and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cash flow management, site operational float, and vendor payment cycles. - Implement job-costing and project profitability tracking to monitor site expenses, material procurement, and event margin efficiency. - Manage general ledger activities, monthly/annual financial closes, and trial balance reconciliation. - Oversee corporate tax strategy, Egyptian tax law compliance (VAT, withholding tax, e-invoicing), and annual audit preparation. Provide executive leadership with clear cash flow forecasts, budget variance analyses, and financial risk assessments. Key Requirements - Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in a senior or managerial role (Accounting Manager, Controller, or Senior Accountant driving system setups). - Industry Focus: Prior experience in event management, production, advertising agencies, construction, or project-based industries is strongly preferred. - System Implementation: Proven track record of selecting, implementing, or migrating to an ERP/accounting platform (e-g., Odoo, QuickBooks, SAP, Maeen). - Technical Skills: Deep understanding of Egyptian tax laws, e-invoicing integration, local GAAP, and financial reporting standards. Advanced Excel proficiency is required. - Leadership: Demonstrated capacity to hire, train, and lead operational accounting teams. - Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification is a strong advantage.
