Buyer (Equipment/Packages)

Saipem is a global leader in the engineering and construction of major projects for the energy and infrastructure sectors. Purpose of the position: Service Buyer Responsibilities: - Carry out all the activities necessary to purchase goods and/or services/subcontracts, in compliance with given cost/time/quality requirements and corporate policies. - Issue to vendors the Request for Quotation based on given purchasing request. - Support vendors during preparation of technical/commercial proposals with confidentiality. - Prepare commercial/economic bid tabulations to compare different proposals and suggest actions. - Lead commercial/economic negotiations and prepare purchase orders or subcontracts. - Close out bid process, inform unsuccessful vendors, and manage purchase order revisions. - Check and comment on technical documentation received with Purchase Requisitions. Education & Experience: - Procurement background with 10 years of experience. - English is a must. - Professional knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
