Costing Manager

Costing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the plant’s cost structure and financial performance, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational objectives. This includes leading budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes, with a strong focus on product costing, variance analysis, and margin optimization. The role involves analyzing financial and operational data to identify cost drivers, trends, and variances, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making. The Costing Manager ensures accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal policies, monitors forecast accuracy, and drives corrective actions where required. Additionally, the role leads CAPEX planning and tracking from a cost perspective, conducts audits and risk assessments related to costing and inventory, and partners closely with plant leadership to enhance cost efficiency and support continuous improvement initiatives across the value chain. Key responsibilities include managing plant-level accounting operations, leading cost analysis initiatives, overseeing cost accounting activities including standard cost updates, variance analysis, and month-end closing, monitoring KPIs such as labor efficiency, material consumption, and inventory levels, maintaining accurate product costing, partnering on pricing decisions, overseeing inventory reconciliation, and coaching junior team members. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with professional qualifications like CA, ACCA, CMA, or CPA, and 7-8 years of experience in costing management within a manufacturing or FMCG environment, along with proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
