Enterprise Data Migration Lead (SAP)

This is a major enterprise transformation role with ownership of one of the most critical parts of the programme: moving years of legacy business data into a modern SAP environment. You’ll join an established Dubai-based holding company undergoing a long-term systems transformation across multiple entities. The challenge is complex, highly technical and business-critical, with data spanning Finance, Supply Chain and HR. This isn’t a coordination-only role. You’ll be expected to get close to the data, understand legacy structures, define how information should be cleansed and mapped, and lead the migration through testing, reconciliation and final cutover. The role: You’ll own the end-to-end data migration framework, setting the standards for cleansing, mapping, validation and reconciliation across the programme. Working closely with database teams, internal stakeholders and external implementation partners, you’ll profile and extract legacy ERP data, define field-level mapping rules and ensure target data structures are accurate before anything moves into production. You’ll lead mock migration cycles through to final cutover, using ETL and enterprise migration tooling to automate as much of the process as possible. You’ll also build reconciliation controls to prove that data has moved completely and accurately between source and target systems. A big part of the role will be bringing technical and business teams together, resolving data ownership issues and making sure each migration stage is formally validated before go-live. What we're looking for: - 8+ years' experience leading complex enterprise data migration programmes. - Strong experience migrating from legacy ERP environments such as Oracle EBS R12 into modern SAP or cloud-based platforms. - Advanced SQL skills and a strong understanding of Finance, Supply Chain and HCM data structures. - Hands-on experience with ETL, migration cockpits, transformation platforms or similar enterprise migration tooling. - Strong understanding of data mapping, cleansing, reconciliation and cutover processes. - Comfortable working across technical teams, implementation partners and senior business stakeholders. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to take ownership of difficult data issues.
