Job description
The Financial Analyst is responsible for evaluating project financial feasibility, monitoring working capital liquidity, and bridging on-site Daily Progress Reports (DPRs) with accounting ledgers. The role provides executive management with variance dashboards, sensitivity analyses, and Cost-to-Complete (CTC) forecasts to safeguard project profit margins.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DAY-TO-DAY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Project Financial Feasibility & Modeling: Develop dynamic financial models, cash flow forecasts, and IRR analyses for ongoing civil projects and upcoming tenders.
- Working Capital Analysis: Conduct weekly tracking of working capital cycles, project liquidity, unbilled receivables, and billing-versus-collection milestones.
- DPR Alignment & Revenue Analytics: Reconcile daily site progress data (DPRs) with financial revenue recognition, verifying physical completion milestones against budget allocations.
- Variance Analysis & CVR Oversight: Prepare monthly Cost-Value Reconciliation (CVR) and Cost-to-Complete (CTC) variance analyses, investigating major divergences across labor, materials, and plant.
- Executive Dashboards & Presentations: Build and present monthly executive MIS dashboards, Board variance reports, and KPI review packs for the CFO and executive committee.
- ERP Financial Optimization: Utilize enterprise ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) to extract, analyze, and structure project cost-accounting databases with strict data integrity.
- Commercial Subcontract & Vendor Reviews: Evaluate subcontractor progress commitments, major material purchase commitments, and cost variation impacts.
- Audit & Budget Support: Participate in the corporate annual budgeting cycle, project milestone financial reviews, and external statutory audit requirements.
