Financial Reporting Accountant

ZAD is the brainchild of a group of young, passionate Kuwaiti financial professionals driven by a vision of fostering a culture of investment in Kuwait. Reports to Senior Finance Officer and Manager / Controller — Kuwait. Purpose of the role: Completing the maker-checker chain already applied to payments, extending it to financial reporting. Key responsibilities include preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash position, variance analysis), preparation of supporting schedules for CMA/regulatory filings and audit requests, verifying report figures tie back to the ledger and reconciliations, supporting the external audit process, cross-training as backup for the Bookkeeper/Accountant, and preparing consolidated Kuwait + UAE group accounts. Requirements: Four to five years in financial and statutory reporting, Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance, experience on an ERP or accounting system such as Microsoft Dynamics or SAP, advanced Excel, experience gained in an accounting or auditing firm, working knowledge of IFRS, fluent in English. Preferable qualifications include CPA or ACCA, multi-entity or group consolidation experience, experience preparing regulatory filing schedules (CMA), and Arabic language skills.
