Job description
We're hiring: General Accountant (Remote, Contract)
I'm looking for a hands-on General Accountant who enjoys owning the numbers, not just processing them.
Remote | 12 months contract, extendable based on performance
What you'll do:
- Own month-end close: journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet schedules
- Bank, vendor and intercompany reconciliations
- Accounts payable and the procure-to-pay process, in line with VAT and approval limits (DOA)
- Budget vs actual reporting and variance analysis
- Support audits and VAT reporting
What you'll bring:
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Hands-on ERP experience (SAP preferred)
- Advanced Excel (pivots, lookups, reconciliations)
- Working knowledge of UAE VAT
- A degree in Accounting or Finance
