Head of Fixed Assets and Inventory

Position - Head of Fixed Assets and Inventory - Qatar Finance Department Key Responsibilities - Contribute to departmental strategy, business plans, policies, and procedures - Maintain accurate fixed assets records and review accounting transactions - Monitor capital expenditures and apply appropriate accounting treatment - Prepare monthly capital asset continuity schedules - Oversee asset tagging, verification, transfers, revaluation, and retirement - Plan and lead physical asset verification and inventory counts - Review and approve depreciation reports and month-end close - Reconcile financial entries between accounting and supply chain systems - Arrange insurance activities for fixed assets and inventory - Manage staffing, duties, and performance monitoring - Facilitate internal and external audits - Maintain high standards of confidentiality Requirements - Qualification: CA, CPA, CFA, or MBA in Finance - Experience: 20+ years overall accounting, including: - 10+ years managerial experience in Fixed Assets and Inventory - 10+ years in hospital/healthcare accounting - 5+ years in government sector accounting - 5+ years in Qatar - Proven experience in high-volume Fixed Assets and Inventory environments using Oracle EBS - Strong knowledge of internationally accepted accounting principles Skills : ERP experience (Oracle, SAP, etc.) & Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Eligibility : Only candidates currently available locally in Qatar will be considered for further evaluation.
