Material Management Specialist

The Material Management Specialist should work closely with the Operations & Maintenance teams, and will be responsible for managing the facilities spare parts inventory and consumables in order to maintain an optimized balance between plant costs and equipment unavailability. The Material Management Specialist is responsible for providing day-to-day support, maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient management of the bill of materials and the warehouse inventory through the use of SAP. Technical And General Responsibility: - Build the Bill of Materials (BOM) as provided by suppliers and enter the data and stored location into SAP. - Determine the correct level of spare parts once the facility is operational based on in country availability. - General plant provisioning including zone store set up and management. - Provide warehouse support during the commissioning of the plants and maintain accurate inventory control. - Optimize stock levels, manage shipment, and control facility spares inward & outward. - Provide training and support in hard goods inventory management methods and SAP transactions. - Manage the safe storage of capital spares both onsite and offsite. - Support turnaround (TAR) activities ensuring spares and materials are available. Minimum Requirements And Qualifications: - At least 5 years of warehouse and inventory management work-related experience. - Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering, or Technical disciplines. - Proficiency in English and Arabic (Reading and Writing). - Knowledge in SAP (ERP System).
