Job description

Role Description A Procurement Director is responsible for leading procurement strategy, strategic sourcing, supplier management, purchasing operations, and cost optimization. The role ensures reliable supply, competitive commercial terms, and efficient procurement processes.Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures. - Oversee sourcing, purchasing, tendering, and supplier selection. - Manage supplier relationships, contracts, and performance. - Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and commercial agreements. - Monitor procurement costs, KPIs, savings, and overall performance. - Identify cost-reduction and value-optimization opportunities. - Oversee purchase orders, quotations, bids, and tenders. - Coordinate procurement activities with finance, operations, and project teams. - Monitor suppliers, market prices, materials, and industry trends. - Identify supply risks and develop alternative sourcing strategies. - Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and applicable regulations. - Manage procurement budgets, spending, forecasts, and cost controls. - Improve procurement processes, systems, efficiency, and governance. - Prepare procurement reports, performance analysis, and management recommendations. - Lead, manage, and develop procurement teams.Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. - Extensive experience in procurement or strategic sourcing management. - Strong knowledge of supplier, contract, tender, and purchasing management. - Excellent negotiation, commercial, and contract management skills. - Strong analytical, cost-control, and decision-making abilities. - Good understanding of procurement policies, processes, and compliance requirements. - Experience with SAP, Oracle, ERP, or e-procurement systems. - Strong supplier relationship and procurement risk-management skills. - Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities. - Ability to manage budgets, multiple priorities, and demanding deadlines. - CIPS or CPSM certification is advantageous. - UAE/GCC procurement experience is advantageous. - Professional, ethical, organized, proactive, and results-oriented.
