Procurement Manager – Pharmaceutical Industry We’re hiring for a senior Egyptian procurement professional with 10+ years of experience to lead procurement and strategic sourcing for a pharmaceutical manufacturing organization. Location: Open to Egyptian candidates based anywhere worldwide Nationality: Egyptian Experience: 10+ years Industry: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Level: Procurement Manager / Senior Procurement Manager / Procurement Head What You’ll Be Doing Lead procurement and strategic sourcing across direct and indirect categories. Manage sourcing of APIs, excipients, pharmaceutical chemicals, raw materials, and packaging. Develop and manage local and international supplier relationships. Lead supplier evaluation, RFQs/RFPs, negotiations, contracts, and strategic sourcing initiatives. Develop alternative and dual-source strategies to strengthen supply continuity. Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, R&D, Engineering, and Finance. Drive cost savings, cost optimization, supplier performance, and working-capital efficiency. Oversee CAPEX and R&D procurement where required. Ensure procurement activities meet GMP, quality, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements. Lead, develop, and mentor the procurement team and establish KPIs and governance. Drive procurement process improvement, digitalization, and data-driven decision making. You’ll Be a Strong Fit If You are an Egyptian national with 10+ years of procurement/sourcing experience. You have strong pharmaceutical manufacturing procurement experience. You have held a senior position such as Procurement Manager, Senior Procurement Manager, Procurement Head, or equivalent. You have hands-on experience with APIs, excipients, pharmaceutical raw materials, chemicals, and packaging. You have strong strategic sourcing, supplier management, negotiation, and cost-optimization skills. You have experience managing local and international suppliers. You have experience leading procurement teams. You understand supply continuity, supplier risk, and procurement planning. You are comfortable working cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, R&D, and Finance. You have strong ERP experience such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent. You have very good to excellent English communication skills. Strong Advantage GMP and pharmaceutical quality systems experience. Familiarity with EDA requirements. R&D and new product development procurement. CAPEX procurement and pharmaceutical projects. Supplier qualification and audits. International procurement and importation. Procurement digitalization or ERP transformation.
