Senior Account Executive

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Senior Account Executive to join our Finance team. This role serves as the engine behind our daily financial operations, ensuring absolute accuracy in our general ledger to support critical VAT and regulatory reporting requirements. You will play a key role in managing daily bookkeeping, performing high-volume reconciliations, and acting as the primary operational point of contact for external and internal auditors to ensure seamless audit readiness. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate, up-to-date daily bookkeeping entries in accordance with accounting standards and banking regulations - Perform daily reconciliations of high-volume digital bank accounts and internal suspense accounts - Support the month-end closing process by efficiently preparing journal entries, accruals, and prepayments - Prepare, verify, and submit timely VAT returns to ensure full compliance with local tax authorities - Monitor evolving tax laws affecting digital financial services and assist in implementing necessary system updates - Act as the primary operational liaison for auditors, managing Provided by Client schedules and gathering supporting documentation - Address auditor queries promptly, walk them through complex transaction flows, and resolve any identified discrepancies What We Are Looking For: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) or progress toward one is highly preferred - Minimum 4 to 6 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably within a FinTech, digital banking, or financial services environment - Deep understanding of VAT regulations and strong knowledge of upcoming tax laws in Bahrain - Proven experience managing large datasets with advanced Excel proficiency (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Index/Match) - Familiarity with enterprise financial software, with experience in Oracle E-Business Suite considered a strong plus - Strong analytical mindset with a keen eye for spotting anomalies in high-volume transaction data - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to confidently engage with auditors and cross-functional teams
