Senior Accountant

Purpose of the job: The Senior Accountant is the sole finance team member reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and independently manages the Company's day-to-day finance activities, including accounting, financial reporting, treasury, audit support and taxation. The role also supports the CFO with project finance and corporate governance matters. Required Qualifications and Experience: Professional accounting qualifications such as CA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferred. Minimum 5-7 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, preferably including experience in the UAE. Strong practical experience in month-end and year-end closing, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, audit coordination and taxation. Good knowledge of IFRS and sound understanding of accounting controls and procedures. Practical knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including financial analysis, reconciliations, reporting and working with large datasets. Experience with ERP/accounting systems; experience with Microsoft dynamics 365 would be an advantage. Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with auditors, banks, tax advisers and other external stakeholders. Ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables and manage multiple deadlines in a standalone finance role.
