Senior Accountant

Armada Retail Concept is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Kuwait. Key Responsibilities: - Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable and supplier payment workflows. - Develop and maintain accurate product cost sheets, including material, freight, customs, clearance, and handling costs. - Analyze standard vs. actual costing and report monthly margin variances. - Maintain ERP item masters, BOMs, and landed-cost templates. - Validate vendor invoices against POs and GRNs. - Manage domestic and international vendor payment cycles. - Conduct vendor reconciliations and resolve pricing, tax, and volume discrepancies. - Monitor AP aging and prepare weekly cash-flow forecasts. - Lead month-end activities related to AP, accruals, and inventory valuation. - Support internal/external audits and ensure compliance with applicable VAT, customs, and financial controls. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - 5–6 years of relevant accounting experience, particularly in AP and costing. - Mandatory experience in FMCG, consumer goods, or apparel retail. - Strong ERP experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar. - Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, complex formulas, data analysis, and financial modeling. - Strong knowledge of retail accounting, inventory valuation, landed costs, inventory aging, and multi-currency transactions. - Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
