Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant – Dubai Media Land Group is seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Accountant to join our Dubai team. We are looking for a strong accounting professional with 7–8 years of practical accounting experience in Dubai or the UAE, capable of independently managing day-to-day accounting operations, strengthening financial controls, organizing financial records, and providing clear and accurate reporting to senior management. Key Responsibilities • Manage and review daily accounting entries, transactions, and financial records. • Handle Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), suppliers, customers, and outstanding obligations. • Prepare and review bank reconciliations, bank statements, and banking transactions. • Manage and review VAT, Corporate Tax documentation, tax invoices, and UAE financial compliance requirements. • Monitor budgets and expenses and prepare Budget vs. Actual variance analysis. • Manage Project Costing and analyze profitability by project or department. • Review and reconcile Intercompany Transactions and balances. • Monitor outstanding debts, supplier payments, payment plans, and urgent financial obligations. • Support monthly financial closing and maintain complete and accurate accounting records. • Coordinate with banks, suppliers, internal departments, and internal/external auditors. • Prepare clear financial reports for the CEO/CFO covering cash position, budgets, liabilities, suppliers, financial risks, and key recommendations. Requirements • 7–8 years of accounting experience, with strong practical experience in Dubai or the UAE. • Strong hands-on experience in General Accounting, AP, AR, suppliers, banking, reconciliations, budgeting, and financial reporting. • Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, tax invoices, and financial compliance requirements. • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or similar ERP/accounting systems. • Strong Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skills. • Professional English communication skills. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple financial priorities. • Experience dealing with banks, auditors, suppliers, and senior management. Preferred Industry Experience Experience in events, exhibitions, fit-out, décor, fabrication, manufacturing, woodworks, logistics, or other project-based businesses will be an advantage. Preferred Profile We are looking for a practical and detail-oriented accountant who is comfortable working in a fast-moving, project-driven environment and can bring structure, accuracy, financial discipline, and strong reporting to the Dubai operation.
