Senior Accountant

Company: Skills Hub (Abu Dhabi, UAE) Department: Finance Job Level: Senior Officer Employment Type: Full-time Job Purpose: To manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT, and Corporate Tax. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and bank reconciliations - Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing and preparation of financial statements - Prepare monthly financial reports, budget vs. actual analysis, and variance reports - Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management - Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT and Corporate Tax, and internal controls - Coordinate with internal/external auditors, banks, suppliers, and customers - Support payroll accounting, reconciliations, and end-of-service calculations - Guide and review work of junior accounting staff Qualifications & Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - 5 to 7 years relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role - ACCA, CA, CPA or equivalent preferred - Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT, and Corporate Tax in UAE - Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel - Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills - Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines To Apply: Send your updated CV to: career@skills-hub.ae / info@skills-hub.ae
