Job description
Coordinate and follow up on inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery. Track purchase orders, shipping schedules, and expected delivery dates and provide regular status updates. Expedite delayed materials, spare parts, equipment, and other critical shipments to avoid operational disruptions. Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, Maintenance, Projects, Finance, and other departments regarding shipment requirements. Communicate with suppliers, freight forwarders, transporters, and shipping agents regarding shipment status and documentation. Review shipping documents, delivery notes, packing lists, invoices, and other relevant documentation for completeness and accuracy. Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, pending orders, and expediting activities. Monitor critical and urgent materials and escalate potential delays to the concerned management. Coordinate transportation arrangements, delivery schedules, and site receiving requirements. Follow up on customs clearance and required shipping documentation where applicable. Ensure delivered materials are properly coordinated with the Warehouse and concerned departments upon arrival.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, expediting, procurement, or supply chain coordination.
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or paper mill environment is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of shipping processes, freight forwarding, customs documentation, and delivery coordination.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 or SAP.
- Good command of Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
