Sr. MES Engineer

Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to support manufacturing operations. This role serves as the technical expert between production, quality, controls engineering, IT, and business systems, ensuring real-time manufacturing data, traceability, process control, and operational efficiency across the plant. Lead MES deployment, configuration, enhancement, and lifecycle management. Maintain MES applications, workflows, routing, genealogy, traceability, and production execution functionality. Ensure MES system reliability, availability, and performance. Manage user access, security roles, and system governance. Integrate MES with PLCs and automation systems, ERP systems (SAP), Quality Management Systems (QMS), equipment and test stations, and industrial databases and reporting platforms. Support production line launches, process changes, and new product introductions. Provide technical support for shop-floor MES issues. Ensure accurate collection of production and process data. Develop and maintain genealogy and traceability solutions. Support serialization, VIN tracking, torque traceability, and quality records. Ensure data integrity and compliance requirements are met. Ensure compliance with company standards and quality requirements. Support audits and system validations. Participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). Maintain documentation, change management, and validation records.
