Job description
Job Outline: The Supply Chain Associate will oversee and manage the inventory. They will also be responsible for maintaining availability and optimizing the inventory.
Key Accountabilities
1. Availability: Need to ensure that 98% plus availability are maintained for the top 1000 SKU’s from CME Portfolio
2. Inventory Days: Seek to minimize inventory days of supply to reduce the risks of excess and obsolete inventory.
3. NPI: both Expiries and NPI’s should be minimized to less than tolerance rate
Job Content
- Must have experience working with regional suppliers to procure new products in accordance with enquiries from the Sales team.
- Coordinate with the Procurement team for supplier contracts and pricing.
- Ensure optimum stock coverage across all products as per forecasted requirements.
- Generate supplier wise order inventory plans and coordinate with suppliers for shipment plans.
- Generate purchase orders as per requirement and post the same in the ERP system.
- Regular check and follow up of delivery from suppliers.
- Coordinate with other departments – Category, Sales, Operations, Warehouse and Logistics
- Ensure stock availability at all times.
- Ensure effective communications and teamwork.
Qualifications and Experience
- College or University degree or at least one year related experience in a similar industry
- Must be familiar with any ERP system and Microsoft Office suite packages.
- Excellent communication skills (proficiency in English)
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Highly innovative and proactive with a tenacious work attitude.
- Desire to learn and grow in the position.
